Excited to share a heartwarming story of our hashtag#NationalCinemaDay celebration! All the movie buffs of our Motley Crew were in for an extraordinary surprise on this special day. Little did we know, a remarkable adventure was about to begin.
Our resident movie-picker extraordinaire Jason Menezes brought forth a unique suggestion: hashtag#Aatmapamphlet - a Marathi film. The title piqued our curiosity. A quick search revealed its meaning: Aatmapamphlet referred to an Autobio-pamphlet, reflecting a character's life, which perhaps wasn't as eventful as an autobiography would typically demand. We couldn't have fathomed the extraordinary experience that awaited us as we booked the tickets with much enthusiasm.
Late into the night, our copywriter: Gauri Raorane and designer: Priyanka Salelkar, driven by their shared passion for storytelling, came together to create something truly remarkable. With their combined creative energy, they crafted our own Aatmapamphlet fused with the very essence of Motley. Naturally, we all fell in love with it and entered the cinema hall with beaming smiles and bubbling excitement.
This cinematic masterpiece left an indelible mark on our hearts. The film was a revelation to so many memories, thoughts and points of view hidden deep in our hearts. The casting, the characters, the storyline, and the narration everything reflected the passion with which this film was made.
Our heartfelt congratulations to debutant director Ashish Bende and the remarkable actors who brought this socio-political satire to life with unmatched dedication and artistry!
As we sat back, laughed and immersed ourselves in the movie, and applauded the end credits, the lead child actor, Om Bendkhale (now in 10th Standard) appeared out of nowhere at the end of the movie and graced us with his presence. His humility and warmth filled our hearts with joy, as we engaged in a lighthearted conversation with the artist. And guess what! We also got Om's autograph on our Aatmapamphlet X Motley poster – our hearts overflowed with happiness!
Now this is what we call a beautiful celebration of cinema! We feel incredibly fortunate to call ourselves not just the fans and lovers of this beautiful artform, but also a tiny part of the community.
